The two kettlebells worth buying for a home program
You do not need a set. Two bells, picked well, cover a year of training for most people.
Ben Hartley

Kettlebell sets look good in photos and take up half a closet. For our home program, two bells are enough.
The pair we suggest
For most women starting out, 12 and 16 kg. For most men, 16 and 24 kg. The lighter bell is for presses and single arm work, the heavier one for swings, squats and carries.
What to look for
A single cast piece of iron, a smooth handle with no seam, and a flat bottom. Skip adjustable bells for swings.
When to buy the third
When you can press the lighter bell for five clean reps on each side. Your coach will tell you, and you can buy one bell instead of a set.
