Conditioning that does not wreck your leg day

Hard conditioning the day before squats is a common way to have a bad squat day. Here is where we put it instead.

Conditioning matters for your heart, your recovery between sets and your life outside the gym. It also competes with your legs for recovery.

Put it after upper body days

We schedule harder intervals after upper body sessions or on their own day, at least 36 hours away from heavy squats or deadlifts.

Choose low impact tools

Sleds, bikes and rowers cost your legs less than hill sprints or box jumps. We save running intervals for members who are training for a race.

Keep most of it easy

Two easy sessions and one hard one a week is enough for most members. Your watch data tells us if easy is actually easy.

Your first coached week can start two days from now
